about a.b.a

A.B.A is a character that debuted in guilty gear isuka and then was later added to guilty gear xx. shes a homunculus, created in a mountain home named frasco, and spent most of her life isolated from others; as such she has little knowledge of the outside world. however, she is follow (or rather, carries around) a key-shaped ancient relic called 'flament nagel', whom she call 'paracelsus' and is deeply infatuated with. though paracelsus doesnt share the same feelings, he still cares for her. her story is self-contained, with little relation to other characters, and her aim is to find a way to give paracelsus a human body.

why do i like a.b.a?

a.b.a is arguably one of the most important characters in my life, but probably not for the most expected reasons. see, ive known her for over a decade now; my first encounter with her was a brazillian YTP artist called mestre3224; no, im serious. because of that, the 'weird redhead key girl' was a figure that kind of haunted me all the time, slowly making me get more and more interested into finally seeing what guilty gear was all about and why this one guy who inspired me so much liked her. funnily enough though, when i actually got into guilty gear in september of 2021, i had almost forgotten about her until i stumbled across her wiki page again.

after that, it was pretty much just love at first sight, and the only reason she isnt my top 1st favorite gg character is because zato got his strive redesign, and it has been more than a decade since we got any new a.b.a content, which is honestly a shame. her design kicks ass, she has a pretty interesting story (to each their own, i guess), and i honestly can relate to her too, being awkward and down, but forming strong relationships with others. shes truly a character that has honestly changed my life for the better, and deserves far more recognition than she has; heres to hoping that someday she will come back to a modern guilty gear game and finally get the additional content she deserves (after all, ggxx is a dubiously canon game...) a.b.a on strive when?
